Tekken 8 heihachi should be revived11/29/2023 ![]() It just depends on how many flashback sequences they can fit into Tekken 8's story, should they go that route again. Later on I got Tekken 6 for ps3 and although there were a lot of characters to play as, the whole Mishima story thing was disappointing. Heihachi may be gone in the present, but that doesn't mean he'll stay off of the game's new roster considering they already did that with Kazumi Mishima in Tekken 7, who was also super dead. ![]() It does ultimately feel fitting with Tekken 7 wrapping up Heihachi and Kazuya's father-son issues to move on to do the same between Kazuya and Jin doing the same in Tekken 8 - and they've got a lot of issues to work out. ![]() Heihachi's fate came a bit into question recently, when Leroy Smith's character profile for Tekken 8 mentioned Mishima as having "disappeared", but that now seems to be fully explained by Kazuya and the G Corp covering the situation. Murray goes on to joke about the idea of an "AI Heihachi," but it sounds like those steering the Tekken ship have closed the book on the elder Mishima's conquest (for now at least). Maybe gigas died when he was captured by G corp and was resurrected and infused with these fighters DNA (minus akuma). Maybe even a mix of Ogre, Jinpachi, Azazel and Akumas blood too. "It's my favorite character, so I was shocked," said Harada. I could even see heihachi subjugating Akuma in tekken hell and then absorbing Akumas powers to live once again. "Heihachi has been dead so many times, you have to make sure it's convincing this time', and we were like, 'you told us to make sure he's dead, right?!'" said Murray about the director's orders. Harada then told Liang that he was surprised at just how hard the team killed off Heihachi, but Murray responds it was an order given to them by Harada himself. "Heihachi had failed to actually convert the devil gene, and he doesn't have it so there's no way he can revive like Kazuya or Jin can." "He looked pretty dead to me," Harada adds. The interviewer, Lu-Hai Liang, attempts to counter that point with Heihachi's attempt to become immortal using Ogre's blood in Tekken 4 and other revivals of the series, but the director sounds pretty convincing that the old man is finally getting his rest. Chaolan where she can be revived and has the inhibitor programed removed. "I don't know how he's not dead, right?" said Murray via TheGamer. The Game Award trailer of Tekken 8 reveals that Leroy opens a coffee shop and. Since there’s no word of license renewals for Street Fighter’s Akuma and King of Fighters’ Geese Howard, the two characters are not expected to return.TheGamer recently interviewed both Harada and Tekken producer Michael Murray where they specifically asked the lead devs about the fate of the beloved character. The return of some of the guest characters is subject to license renewal. That might not necessarily mean a return is impossible, as characters have returned from similar fates before.Īround 15 DLC characters were added to Tekken 7, and a similar approach is expected with Tekken 8 as well. ![]() Heihachi was last seen at the end of Tekken 7, being thrown into the volcano. Lee Chaolan, Alisa Bosconovitch, and Heihachi are some of the fan favorites to return to the series. Tekken 8 Full Roster DetailsĪpart from all the characters seen in the trailer, the final roster is expected to see the return of even more characters. While the trailer ends to see Jin fighting in his devil form, it will still be interesting to see how the story arc moves from there. It will be interesting to wait for the game’s release to see if Jin can control his devil gene, as Kazuya does. ![]()
